Truth be told, you have to be unusually patient, persistent, fanatical, and the right amount of crazy to make rye whisky. Alberta Distillers embraced this challenge and not only made rye whisky, they mastered it. Today, Alberta Distillers is the number one rye producer in North America with more than 450,000 barrels aging on site.
After years of perfecting their craft, the master distillers at Alberta Distillers wanted to continue to push the rye envelope and come up with not just another rye whisky, but a better rye whisky.
And so, Alberta® Rye Dark Batch™ was born. A true expression of the skilled craftsmen who have made rye whisky their passion for nearly 70 years.
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 1.5 parts Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 4-5 parts – ginger beer
- 2 dashes – Angostura® bitters
- 1 – orange wedge pressed
Special Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a lowball glass, fill with ice, top with ginger beer and stir.
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts – Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 1/2 part – pear liqueur
- 1/2 part – simple syrup
- 1/4 part – allspice liqueur/pimento dram
- 3/4 parts – lemon juice
Special Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake, serve up or on the rocks.
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts – Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 1 part – Port Wine
- 1/4 part – 2:1 simple syrup
- 1/2 part – lemon juice
- 1 part – egg white
- 4 – blackberries
- 1 dash – rhubarb bitters
Special Instructions:
Muddle 2 blackberries in the bottom of your mixing glass. Add all non alcoholic ingredients to shaker and dry shake (without ice). Once egg white has expanded, add Dark Batch™, port and ice and shake for another 10-12 seconds. Double strain cocktail into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with additional blackberries.
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts – Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 1/4 part – Ramazzotti® Liqueur
- 1/4 part – coffee liqueur
- 1/8 part – 2:1 Simple syrup
- 2 dashes – orange bitters
- 2 dashes – Aromatic Bitters
Special Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain either “up” or over one large cube. Garnish with flamed orange oils and orange peel.

- 1 part – Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 4-5 parts – hard cider
- 1 dash – aromatic bitters

*Build in Collins glass over ice.
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts – Alberta® Rye Whisky Dark Batch™
- 1/2 part – HONEY
- 1/4 part – Lemon juice
- 1 drop – vanilla extract
- 6 parts – chai tea
- 1 pinch – ground cinnamon
- 1 – Lemon wedge
Special Instructions:
Add ingredients to a mug. Top with piping hot chai tea and stir.
